no news is good news
I don't have much to post... things have been wonderfully uneventful. I am loving not having to go to work and instead working from home. The four month old baby boy I am watching is a joy. I have seen my husband more these past few weeks than I have in a long time since he often stops home in between appointments during the day. I feel so relaxed! I guess I need to take advantage of that now right? I have been getting headaches, but that's been my ONLY complaint pregnancy wise lately... I am really starting to love it. Today, for the first time, a stranger asked me when I was due! I was so excited. I have my all important ultrasound on December 3rd... less than three weeks! Everyone is telling me that the headaches mean it's a girl. I CAN NOT wait to find out. My gut feeling has been girl for a long time. We will see!

4. What is your favorite activity to share with friends? shopping, starbucks (with lots of talking)
Let me know if you want to play along with either!!! fun.
So I am now officially a "sahm" but just missing that "m" part as of now. I started watching my friend's baby at my house a few days a week, and I LOVE it. I can't even say how wonderful it is. It was so, so hard to leave my job as a nanny. Those four kids were my life! It's hard not to get super personal when working a job like that. Especially after almost four years. My last day was a few weeks ago, and my former employer made it super special. However, it didn't stop me from completely losing it and bawling the whole way home (I can't believe I'm sharing this picture):
Sad. Bittersweet. I miss them like crazy, but life goes on and I'm feeling good. Why? Oh, maybe because of this?....
That was taken tonight, so it's exactly 16 weeks. I look HUGE, but I think the sweatshirt doesn't help. Not a good pic (ignore the wall vase thinger) but a certain someone has been asking for pictures and so I had Ryan take a quick one tonight as he was watching Criminal Minds... it was nice of him to let me interrupt him, so I gotta take what I can get. ;)

We had our annual family apple picking outing a few weekends ago. It was really nice out and we didn't skimp on the pictures, as usual. Enjoy.

UT/AZ trip part 2: I say cactuses!
I've realized that this trip was basically a month ago. I've also realized that I have a bunch of other blog post content to catch up on... apple picking, a few tags, pictures of my chub (my belly, not husband, bahaha). And the fact that I am now officially a stay at home mom, which came into effect two weeks ago! So now I have no excuse not to keep updated. I used to journal every day, and I love to look back at what I wrote about in high school, even elementary school, and remember all the memories and think about how I felt at that time. I rarely journal now other than this blog. I feel like I don't remember most of my life already! So I need to keep this updated not only because I'm sure it's annoying for friends and family who check my blog to be greeted by the same post title for weeks at a time, but for my own record and sanity. Now that a baby's coming, there's even more reason to be diligent. So be ready! I'm back.
It was so good to spend a full four days with Alyssa and Jason. I miss that girl so much. We shopped (surprise), saw the lovely sights of Phoenix (Alyssa will beg to differ with the "lovely" statement), ate good food, and took a trip to the Grand Canyon. The weather was surprisingly mild the whole time we were there, except for at the Grand Canyon, which was FREEZING. The Grand Canyon trip was something we figured we "might as well" do since we were pretty close and probably wouldn't get the chance to do again. All I can say is WOW. It was completely breathtaking and amazing and made me feel quite small. To say the least. I was so sad to leave our friends, but it was such a great trip.
I was so excited to meet Krystle and Adam. More blogger friend meet ups! I "introduced" Alyssa and Krystle when the Johnsons moved to AZ, and they all hit it off. Blogging pays off, you really can form great friendships.
the landscape
cactI (Jas and I prefer cactuses)
this thing is 200-some miles long. unbelievable.
lil baby seeing the sights
this was a huge step for Alyssa... she was terrified!
we had to play too
buddies!
all together
I couldn't stop taking pictures!
Can't wait for Christmas. Miss you friends.
